The Gastrointestinal Microbiol Assay Plus known as the GI-MAP is an innovative clinical tool.

GI Mapping measures gastrointestinal microbiota DNA from a single stool sample with state-of-the-art quantitative technology known as Polymerase Chain Reaction (qPCR or real time PCR).

The GI-MAP was designed to detect microbes that may be disturbing normal microbiol balance or contributing to illness as well as indicators of digestion absorption inflammation and immune functions.

With expert Clinical interpretation this test can be useful for understanding the nature of the micro organisms found in the gastrointestinal tract.

It also provides guidelines re clinical implications and hence suggested treatment protocols.

Some words on Testing

Food intolerances can be tricky to pin down. If you are facing uncertainty as to the cause, our advice regarding the best way forward would be to let one of our experienced Practitioners analyse and understand your symptoms and recommend the best test for you.

We take the guess work away, we can establish exactly what you are reacting to with one simple test.

Our Practitioners will take a full case history together with a gastrointestinal analysis to understand better your symptoms.

We can often give some relief with a simple gut health protocol whilst we are waiting for your test results.

Our Processes are designed and our Practitioners are trained to tease out all of these issues and to maximise the chances of methodically determining the root cause and therefore the most effective pathway to relief.

We are here for you
