My Health Journey

Hello, I’m Renae, and I’m passionate about supporting individuals with thyroid conditions like Hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s.

My journey with thyroid health has been both personal and professional. Having experienced thyroid conditions firsthand, including Hypothyroidism and thyroid cancer, I understand the challenges and frustrations that come with these conditions.

Through my own struggles, I embarked on a path of learning and self-discovery, which led me to specialise in supporting individuals with similar experiences. With dedicated study in nutrition, I’ve honed my skills to provide personalised nutrition services aimed at addressing the underlying causes of thyroid issues.

My approach is deeply rooted in empathy and understanding. I know firsthand the importance of considering your unique health status and lifestyle factors in achieving optimal well-being. Empowerment is central to my practice. I’m here to guide and support you as you navigate your own thyroid health journey. With personalised eating plans and ongoing guidance, we’ll embark on a path towards greater vitality and wellness.

My Experience and Education

As a clinical nutritionist, my journey into the field of health and wellness began with a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional and Dietetic Medicine from Endeavour College of Natural Health.

With a background as a skin therapist, I understand the intricate workings of the skin.

I bring a wealth of experience to the table, having delved into clinical genetics focusing on food intolerances, gut health, inflammation, nutrient needs, and hormonal balance.

Eager to deepen my understanding of thyroid health, I also pursued additional practitioner training with Tara Nelson, specialising in thyroid health conditions.

Furthermore, recognising the importance of interpreting blood test results in tailoring personalised health plans, I sought extra education from the Institute for Integrative Functional Pathology. This comprehensive training has equipped me with the skills and knowledge needed to analyse blood levels and nutritional markers effectively, ensuring that I can offer truly personalised and effective support to my clients on their health journeys.

I have had the amazing opportunity to work in the field of nutrigenomics (how genes and nutrition interact in prevention and treatment of disease) where I learned how genes can influence our health involved analysing genetic factors to address food intolerances and allergies, gut microbiome health and nutrient deficiencies.

My other area’s of interest include women’s health conditions such as PCOS and menstrual irregularities, hormones and gut health. I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of supporting clients with these type of health issues.

My Approach to Health Using Nutritional Medicine

Through dedicated study in nutrition, I’ve honed my skills to provide personalised nutrition services that delve into the root causes of your health concerns.

My approach is all about understanding your unique health status and lifestyle factors because I truly believe they hold the key to optimal well-being. Together, we’ll uncover the underlying issues and work towards holistic solutions tailored just for you.

Empowerment is at the heart of what I do. I’m here to guide and support you as you take control of your thyroid health and strive towards your wellness goals. With individual eating plans and ongoing guidance, we’ll navigate this journey together.

If you’re ready to embark on a path towards holistic wellness and reclaim control over your thyroid health, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

My other area of particular interest is in DNA Testing.

DNA testing is a powerful tool in deciphering our genetic makeup and translating it into actionable health strategies. By employing various DNA tests, we can gain deeper insights into individual needs for optimal health and nutrition that go beyond a blood test. These tests cover a range of genetic variations known to significantly affect health and predisposition to chronic diseases. Examples include methylation, detoxification, and oxidation pathways

Let’s start this journey together!

My interests outside of work

On the weekends you will most likely find me spending time with my young nieces and nephews, making memories and enjoying these moments with them fills my heat with joy.

I love spending time at the beach with my beautiful cavoodle Louie; getting outside for some sun and nature walks in the bush.

At home you will find me cooking up a storm full of nutritious, tasty and healthy food for family and friends.

I have recently joined the reformer pilates craze and purchased a machine so I can comfortably practice in my home.

I believe that exercise in all forms is beneficial to health whether that be walking, weights, the gym or low impact exercises like yoga.

I absolutely love meditative music and use this as a tool to improve my wellbeing, energy and sleep.
