What drew me to Naturopathy

I was drawn to naturopathy via the deterioration of my own health in my early 20s.

For years I suffered with a debilitating ‘mystery illness’ and received very little relief from the allopathic medical model.

Eventually I sought out a naturopathic practitioner who guided me back to wellness.

After 16 years of suffering with systemic symptoms, I was correctly a diagnosed as having Lyme disease.

It was the targeted and successful treatment implemented by my naturopathic practitioner that allowed a profound healing to take place.

This experience exemplified the power of natural medicine and inspired me to become a qualified naturopathic practitioner so that I too could facilitate and guide others on their journey to wellness.

After qualifying, I became  a member of the Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA).

Now, I am excited to have joined the team at Perth Allergy Clinic and to offer patients an individual caring experience combining both my specific and diverse education.

I look to provide patients with healing combining a human touch and empathy regarding individual needs and an understanding of the issues around the conditions that they are experiencing.

My story and training

I have a diverse educational background.

I hold a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy, a Bachelor of Arts with majors in Psychology and Environmental Studies and a minor in Education.

Additionally I have earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Environmental Impact Assessment.

My commitment to ongoing learning has led me to complete additional units in homeopathy, tissue salt therapy, flower essence therapy, and iridology.

My journey to becoming a naturopathic practitioner has been shaped by a deep passion for holistic health care as such I am dedicated to providing comprehensive care across all aspects of well-being.

For all of my patients I employ evidence-based care, personalised therapeutic interventions, and a holistic approach that considers the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit. My goal is to provide you with the guidance and support you need to achieve optimal physical and mental wellness.

My personal journey with Lyme disease fuels my commitment to helping individuals facing complex conditions that are sometimes not straightforward to diagnose or treat. Because of my experience, I am well-versed in targeted treatment strategies that promote profound healing.

In a non-allergy sense I am also very interested in the perimenopausal & menopausal life stage.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions or if you believe any of what I can offer aligns with your health needs. Together, we can embark on a journey toward improved health and well-being, tailored to your individual requirements.

What I like doing inside and outside of work

Beyond my work as a naturopathic practitioner, I find immense joy and fulfillment in the many facets of my life outside of the clinic. Family plays a central role in my world, and I cherish the moments spent with my  husband and three wonderful sons. Engaging in their various hobbies and interests not only strengthens our bonds but also provides me with continuous opportunities for some different learning and growth.

I’m an avid reader and an eternal student, always eager to dive into the pages of a captivating book or explore new subjects that pique my curiosity. Learning is a lifelong journey, and I relish every opportunity to expand my knowledge.

One of my greatest passions lies in the culinary realm. I thoroughly enjoy crafting creative, nourishing meals and delightful treats for my family and friends. In addition to cooking, I find immense satisfaction in nurturing my own edible garden, where I cultivate a variety of herbs and vegetables, ensuring that fresh, organic ingredients grace our table. Homesteading and embracing a sustainable lifestyle are integral parts of my life philosophy.

Nature holds a special place in my heart, and I often find solace in leisurely nature walks. The beauty of the natural world inspires me, providing a peaceful retreat from the demands of daily life. The therapeutic power of connecting with the outdoors cannot be understated.

Music is another source of inspiration and relaxation for me. Whether it’s the soothing melodies of classical compositions or the upbeat rhythms of world music, I find that music has the remarkable ability to uplift the spirit and create moments of profound joy.

And last but certainly not least, I proudly share my home with a lovable pug! The companionship and endless affection of my furry friend brings immeasurable happiness into my life. Whether it’s playful antics or cozy cuddles, our pug never fails to brighten my days.

These diverse interests and activities outside of my naturopathic practice enrich my life, providing balance, inspiration, and a deep sense of purpose. They also contribute to my holistic approach to wellness, reminding me daily of the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit
